Pharmacy Leadership in Wales

We are now seeking applications for the second pharmacy leadership programme. The deadline for receipt of applications is 4pm on Monday, 23 November 2009.

This specific leadership programme is designed to support pharmacists from independent, multiple, private sector and NHS organisations.  The programme builds on the success of the pilot delivered in 2007 and will develop leadership capability in pharmacists in Wales.  It will facilitate the development of services and the contribution pharmacy can make to improving patient care.  This 12 month programme reflects the different contexts and challenges facing the profession and is designed by leading pharmacists for leading pharmacists.

WHAT DOES THE PROGRAMME INVOLVE?

• Two 2 day Workshops on 24th & 25th February 2010 and 16th & 17th June 2010 which will include presentations from national figures, academics and practitioners.   
• Eight regional experiential learning events (Actions Learning Sets) which will help you tackle the real life difficulties you face in your role.

  2nd ALS  4/5/6 May 2010
  3rd ALS  6/7/8 July 2010
  4th ALS  14/15/16 September 2010
  5th ALS  26/27/28 October 2010
  6th ALS  14/15/16 December 2010
  7th ALS  8/9/10 February 2011
  8th ALS 29/30/31 March 2011
• Support in identifying and delivering an important change in relation to improving patient care.
• 1-2-1 Coaching sessions
