This section provides information on areas of support for the profession including registering with the Society, fee structure and payment of fees, updating personal details, clinical governance, audit resources, CPD, postgraduate courses and further training, leadership in pharmacy.
Information resources
This section covers the Society's information resources including the press office, library, advisory services, and museum; it also gives quick links to downloadable documents published by the Society.
World of pharmacy
This section provides information on the wider world of pharmacy, covering: current developments in pharmacy, the use of medicines, science, practice research, working with other UK and international bodies, events and meetings.
New professional body
This section provides information on the setting up of a new professional body for pharmacy, alongside a new regulatory body, as part of a fundamental modernisation of the pharmacy profession

Protecting the public
This section provides information on the Society's work as a regulator, including fitness to practise standards, codes of ethics, the pharmacy inspectorate and its roles, how to complain about a pharmacist, pharmacy premises or pharmacy technician, and the Society's disciplinary committees.

English Pharmacy Board 2008 election

In 2008 there are four unreserved pharmacist vacancies on the English Pharmacy Board. The following are the candidates:

This page contains links to all the information which together comprises the Candidate Pack for election to the English Pharmacy Board of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.

Included in the Candidate Pack is a paper for prospective candidates summarising the responsibility and functions of the national Pharmacy Boards, responsibilities and obligations of national Pharmacy Board members and the relationship between the Boards, the Council and Society staff (Election to the national Pharmacy Boards).

The Candidate pack also includes a note of the procedures applicable to the elections. This note details the requirements for nominators and the material which is required in order for a nomination to be valid, and contains information on canvassing and publicity (National Pharmacy Board Election Procedures).

Also included is a guidance paper to help candidates through the process of nomination and the submission of the required documentation. The Returning Officers are responsible for the conduct and administration of the elections. In England the day-to-day administration of the election is managed by Martyn Schofield, Deputy Head of Corporate Secretariat. English Pharmacy Board members

In 2006/7 the Society held an election to establish the elected members of the English Pharmacy Board of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. The board came into being at 12.01am on 21 January 2007.
