In 2009 the Society held an election for the five unreserved pharmacist positions on the Scottish Pharmacy Board.

In 2008 the Society held an election for four pharmacist members of the Scottish Pharmacy Board.
The Returning Officer declared that the three candidates who stood were duly elected and commenced a three year term of office.
The Board then made the decision to co-opt into the vacant pharmacist position. Mrs Alpana Mair was co-opted into the position in July 2008 until the next Board elections.
In 2006/7 the Society held its first election to establish the Scottish Pharmacy Board of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. The board came into being at 12.01am on 21 January 2007, replacing the Scottish Executive.
