Important information about the pre-registration exam websites

Please note the RPSGB do not sponsor or support any websites claiming to provide genuine registration examination questions. The RPSGB site is the only authorised website providing examination questions for trainees through the sample papers.

General information

Preregistration trainees can sit the registration examination after they have completed 45 weeks of their preregistration training, provided that their preregistration tutor is satisfied with their performance. In the examination the trainee is required to demonstrate knowledge and understanding by analysing and evaluating practice-based problems.

A trainee must pass the examination to register, in addition to demonstrating satisfactory performance, since competence depends on skills, attitudes and knowledge.

The examination takes place on two occasions each year: the summer (the last Friday in June) and the autumn (the last Friday in September).

Examination fees

The examination fee for 2010 is £200 - for more information on when and how to enter the examination, please see the Spring 2010 Bulletin. The Society no longer accepts cheque payments - trainees must pay by credit or debit card using the examination fee payment form below:
